First and foremost, we are a group of VOLUNTEERS who give up our time to help local businesses within the Brecon area.
We meet each month for a Meeting which has a formal agenda and minutes are kept of each meeting, with decisions made.
We discuss our membership, what we can offer to businesses, events that we organise, networking opportunities and general business support.
We have Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and 15 committee members - At each meeting we are joined by the Mayor of Brecon and the Police. We are all here to support local businesses within the Brecon area.
During the year we hold a number of competitions and events.
We PROMOTE Brecon as an active business and retail area to attract locals, visitors and tourists.
We INFORM our members and other interested parties of relevant developments issues and opportunities which affect the town.
We REPRESENT our members with a powerful collective voice, making sure we are heard by local and national government and by development agencies and other bodies. Through regular meetings and good communication, the Chamber reflects the views of its members.
